Abandoned Cabin with Windmill Platform

Abandoned Cabin with Windmill Platform

Typical of the size and simplicity of most homesteader cabins, this one is located near Peter’s Sink north of present day Christmas Valley. Most cabins were simple boxes measuring 12x16 feet with one or two rooms, although some were larger and a few had a second floor or attic. Many had storage cellars dug beneath the wooden floor boards.
