Godon Homestead—The Godon family (Pierre, Bridget and their five daughters) carved out one of the most successful and enduring homesteads in the Fort Rock Valley, one still owned by descendants of the original settlers. While no longer lived on, the ranch is regularly visited these days by granddaughter Dorothy Ferns and her husband Michael, himself a descendant of homesteaders. They live in Bend but still run a few cattle here, and do their best to preserve the site.
