Kernville, Oregon

Only a pattern of pilings remains from the sawmills and canneries that once stood along the north bank of the Siletz River at the site of Kernville, founded in 1896 by Daniel Kern and abandoned in the early 1900s when the highway bridge crossed the river farther west. (Platinum/Palladium print from digital negative.)
