Pleasant Valley, Oregon

Pleasant Valley, Oregon

This inconspicuous spot on the old Roosevelt Highway (US 101) is so small that both the north and south facing signs announcing “Pleasant Valley” are on the same sign post. Despite its name, old-timers say it should have been called “Wrangletown” because of frequent feuds among settlers. (Platinum/Palladium print from digital negative.)
